#FightFraud: Email is the most common way of phishing, which is a type of fraud that tricks you into giving away your personal and bank details.

Scrutinize the email messages you get and be on the lookout for these red flags.

  • Check the email sender, urgent requests made, threats, file attachments and links or buttons.
  • Phishing emails will lead you to suspicious websites to get your login details, such as your username and password, including your One-Time PIN, and use that to steal from your bank account.
  • Do not download any attachment as it may contain malware that may expose your personal or financial information to scammers.

Protect your inbox by marking the phishing email as spam or junk. Immediately report it by forwarding the email to the proper channels for the necessary action.
