What is the Post Office Scam
Post office scammers are after your personal info, bank details, and money
Many times, scammers use the tactic of time pressure, saying things like, “Your account will be locked” or “Your pending transactions won’t be processed” to get you to do what they want.
They do that because if you believe that you need to take action immediately, you’ll be stressed and confused and probably won’t take the time to verify if the person contacting you is a real company representative. Always be skeptical if you receive a call from a representative that may have known your basic information especially if they start asking for your sensitive information like bank and card details. Don’t be afraid to hang up and contact the company through their official channel and verify if it’s a legit call or not.
So, don’t rush! If the communication is genuine, you’ll still be encouraged to verify it for your safety and peace of mind.
